BT audio choppy

i just installed Windows 10 on a MacBook 12" including the Apple drivers and ran all the latest Windows 10 and Apple updates. When I play audio through multiple BT headphones, the audio is choppy and stutters throughout. Is there a known fix to this issue I am having?
