I just ordered a 20" iMac. The only change I made is the 256 video instead of 128. Delivery date two weeks out  . The system is shown on my order as a CTO, not BTO. I know what they stand for, but what's the difference? Does CTO get delivered sooner as some of these are available as prebuilts in the US? Or does it come from China the same as BTO?

there is no difference... apple calls them CTO

I'm guessing Built-To-Order and Configured-To-Order (For those who aren't in the know)

Something along those lines anyway.

Takes long because they can pump out the same configuration easier. Custom builds take a bit longer to work out... who knows.
