Was cleaning the screen on my Apple Watch series 6 and noticed that there are bubbles in the screen, especially when viewing at certain angles, is this common has anyone else noticed this on their Apple Watch? I have attached a picture which you can see 2 bubbles on the top right hand corner, but there are a few others that don’t show up in the pic cause if the viewing angle.

Nothing like that in mine. To be brutally honest, I was expecting something like that after religiously going swimming, taking it in hot showers, steam room with my watch on. But it's good as gold, shone a flash on the watch, apart from the usual scratches, no bubbles.

I once had a scare about similar patterns on my screen, but I realised it was just the transparency/opacity of the menu with the icons underneath showing through ... basically the OS effects.

Any idea of what you think it could be? Impact/water/excess heat etc.?

I don’t have an S6, however my aluminum S4 has these “bubbles”, but only seen in bright direct light. There are several threads where others have posted about similar bubbles or bumps. For the most part it seems to be considered normal, with it being common on different generations of Apple Watch.

I went to the Apple store since I’m within my 14 days and they exchanged it for me. Yeh new also has it but not as bad at the last one.

Did you check it very carefully? I exchanged my AW6 (not for this problem) and both screens had pretty much identical bubbles in the same locations. As far as I know they are "normal" for AW6 44mm model.

My S3 SSSB had them, as did my S5 SS, as do my current S5 Ceramic, S6 Hermès and S6 Graphite. It is completely normal to have these, and unless they show up in normal viewing conditions, wouldn’t worry about them.

Exactly. However interesting that AW6 44mm seem to have most bubbles. My AW3 42mm has some. Also interesting that other family member has AW6 40mm and it has almost none, very hard to find even hint of bubbles. Anyway seems normal as both of my AW6 44mm's had practically identical noticeable bubbles as seemed to have shop demos I checked.

I’m not sure, one of my S6 has several and the other, one. My sisters has only one too...which she couldn’t even see until I annoyed her by pointing it out 🤣

Are they both 44mm? From limited samples I've seen for some reason 40mm seem to suffer least from bubbling.

Mine are 44, hers is 40. I suspect they are all much the same, just it only shows up in particular viewing angles/light, so the average owner will probably never even notice.

For some reason 40mm seems having much less bubbles where 44mm has distinct pattern on the lower half like a screen edge (I mean like these: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...6-screen.2268271/?post=29241704#post-29241704) and then those bubbles on the upper right (like in OP's first post in this thread). In 40mm I really had to look for any in very good light, almost did not see them even then and definitely not as distinct pattern while in 44mm they are easy to find in right light. But obviously they are normal since I saw the same even in few shop demo 44mm's I checked.
