I've had this problem for EVER! When I add an AIM buddy or whatever, they flash a few times and then they get deleted somehow. How can I stop this from happening? I can't figure it out...Thanks.

Are you sure they're just "Not Online?"
The default in iChat is to have your offline contacts hidden, so that could be why.
