Budget HD camcorder?

So, I'm planning on getting my father a camcorder for Christmas. Nothing fancy, just one to use when he's out hunting in the woods. Needs to be HD (720p is fine), preferably a good zoom, budget maxes out at $200. Any recommendations? I know that criteria is probably pushing it, but there's got to be some out there.

I have heard really good things about the Canon Vixia line....

You might want to find out if there is ANY way to stretch your budget a bit and take a look at something like this for $279:

I second the above post, any camcorder under $200 is going to be pretty bad, but for 80 dollars more you'll get something that is a lot better.

I will third the vixia line. Ours has been great.
