I am looking to have a mac to monitor layout similar to this:

I have been thinking about the LG 23MP68VQ and then pushing my £200 budget a bit with the DELL U2515 and the U2415 if they are worth it.

I am looking for a monitor that has a very similar feel to the MBP.

I am using this mainly for programming with more ease.

Any questions would be great as I am not too sure exactly what I want as this is the first monitor I will have ever had.

Thank you very much for your time.

You're not going to find a "budget" display that "looks as good" as a MacBook Pro retina display. Better understand that right up front.

Having said that, here's a good place to start:

I'd look for a 24" display (or perhaps a 23", as you mentioned).
It won't be "as sharp" as a retina display (under close inspection), but it will still be quite good.
You might also consider Samsung, Dell, or Viewsonic.
