buffer underrun

Hi all

Does anyone else have buffer underrun errors when backing up dvd movies.

It has happend on toast and burn x. Toast has a buffer underrun protection button, when this is activated half way through and towards the end of the dvd there are mistakes. The burn is finshed ok but when played at these points the dvd freezes for a few seconds every so often.

What is a buffer underrun and how can i stop it?

I tried burning at a slower speed but it started to happen again.

Any ideas??

Reducing burn speed often resolves the problems with making coasters, i.e. "buffer underrun".

cheers that helps, it works sometimes it just inconsistant.
