After the computer has been on for a long time or too many windows opened at once or something, causes the macbook pro to not recognize the F11 key to show the desktop. Reboot always fixes it :apple:

Sometimes when I push a key, the first letter won't get recognized? Happens rarely, even though I'm tapping hard? I've seen this on other macbooks as well.

Sorry if I misunderstand your problem but did you uncheck System Prefs ->Keyboard&Mouse ->Use all F1,F2,etc keys as standard function keys?

If so, either check that box again to make the computer show the desktop when you hit F11, or if you don't want to change prefs just hold Fn+F11.

It was unchecked, I checked it no difference. Definitely a Bug. Hope they fix it in Snow Leopard or an update.

yeah i dont think its a bug, no one else has the problem, if it was a bug it would be a well known issue

Yes, this is a known bug which has yet to be fixed and is very annoying.
