I'd copied a phone number from a web page and since you can't paste it into the dialer app, I was going to add a new contact.
Anyway, pasted the number into the contact details dialog and it started repeating itself over and over. As seconds went on and the number grew (out of sight), the text in the box shrank in a pathetic attempt to compensate for this huge number!
After a wee bit of experimentation, I realised that the number I'd pasted had a new line char at the end. Pasting without that char worked fine.
Anyway, if left to grow, I guess this bug could POSSIBLY expose a vulnerability - buffer overflow or something like that...
And I thought my software testing days were long gone!
This was on a 3GS, BTW...
