I am looking into a new car, and am very interested in a preowned 2004-2006 Buick LaCrosse, but I love driving stick and don't want to switch to an automatic tranny. How feasible would a manual transmission swap be for a LaCrosse? Approx costs?

Forget about it! It will be a huge cost. And even if you decided to have it done it's a 50/50 that it will be done right.

On more thought I don't think this car even offered a manual transmission so you must give up on having this car as a manual.

Enough that it would be cheaper just to buy a similar car that has a manual option. I can't recal ever seeing a GM mid-size with a manual option, and can't even think of what transmission could be used.

Converting a FF vehicle has an extra level of complexity because the engine-transmission relationship can't just be "fudged" a little bit with an adapter plate like it can on a FR vehicle.
