iOS Build issue after upgrading ipod touch

Hi all,

I had to upgrade my iPod touch software version from 2.2.1 to 3.1.1 so i could deploy my app (v3.*). But im getting an issue thats preventing me from deploying on the device. In the organiser window i get the message "this device is not activated. Please activate it using iTunes". I did this originally before upgrading and dont know how to do it again if needed. Not sure why it should be even giving this message. Any ideas anyone?
