Building a Case for the iPad 2 + SmartCover - Help needed.

Hey guys,

i just bought me some fleet (30 cm by 40 cm pice for 2,25€/3,19US$) and am planing to build myself a case for my iPad 2 with it.

For the iPad this should barly fit (keep in mind that there needs to be some space for yarn), but as i am planing do have the smartcover on the iPad wen i am carring it around in that case i need the measurements of the iPad 2 with the cover on.

Could someone who already owns it provide me with these measurements. I am in germany, so there issent even a hands on model in shops yet wich i could check out.


Obvisuly i could just buy a second sheet of fleet and it would still be only a fraction of the price these cases are soled at, but why wast money and goods if you don´t need to.

The SmartCover hinge adds about 3 mm to the left side of the iPad.

Thank you very much. In highth it can´t be much more than 1-2mm i guess, so one sheet should be enough, sweet!

The SmartCover does not over hang on the other 3 sides.
