Building a search index for network share in Leopard

Am I right in thinking that the only network shares that are Finder-friendly in Leopard are shares of Mac drives?

I run Fusion and I would like Finder to include one of the Windows (virtual) drives, which is shared with Leopard, in its search index.

But I guess this can't be done?
