Building an online store, any apps that can help me manage inventories?

I'm using shopify.com, their pretty good, very easy. But I'd rather have something offline to deal with, or even a program that would then just easily publish my store to my own server.

Does anyone know any good ones?

Or a program for creating inventory that I can then export a file and upload it to shopify?

Why not just write a front end to your web database in Python or some other language using a nice GUI toolkit (heck, you could even use the Python Cocoa bindings) and just query data from your database directly.
