Last week I ordered my family copy of OSX 10.2(Jaguar) via the apple online store. First off, it told me that it would take 3 days to build. It's now been 7 days and it still says "being assembled". Whenever I've burnt a CD it's only taken an hour at the most, It would be quicker to built it by hand, bit by feckin' bit!!

I Did, they said "sorry for the delay, It's being assembled"

Why does it take so long. I could understand if it was a computer. but it's just a disc (or two) why does it take so long?

It sounds as though they were caught unaware as to the demand. I wonder if they have local facilities on each continent to handle the load. I would expect that in the states, it's all outsourced as many times my ADC shipments come from somewhere in the state of Utah, rather than California.
