Anyone using the built-in Workout App for weight lifting? There's no preset option for "weight lifting", so I chose "core training". But I don't know if/how this is actually tracking my workouts. I'd appreciate input/advice. Thanks!!

There is an option for 'strength training' that is what I use.

All it does is track active calories burned based on heart rate.

Yes it is there.

What you have to do is start as OTHER first. When you are done and you save it, it asks what do you want to name it. Then there is an additional subcategory of workouts as follows:

Baseball
Basketball
Bowling
Boxing
Cross Training
Curling
Dance
Downhill Skiing
Functional Training
Golf
Gymnastics
Handball
Jump Rope
Kickboxing
Martial Arts
Mind & Body
Mixed Cardio
Paddling
Pilates
Play
Racquetball
Rolling
Rugby
Saling
Skating
Snow Sports
Snowboarding
Step Training
Strength Training
Surfing
Table Tennis
USA Football
Volleyball
Wrestling
Yoga
