Do bulldogs affect people with allegeries or with asthma? Also do they shed alot like other dogs? I wanting to get a new dog because my other dog just passed and I really want something I can keep in the house and that won't affect my family one whom has asthma and bad allergies.

Poodles don't shed or anything? I was hoping for a more manly type dog not a poodle.

Hey man, I'm not recommending a miniature or toy poodle to you. Standard poodles are famous for being gun dogs and are used for hunting. Very masculin. I'm not talking about the little frilly dogs. Their fur is non-allergenic. They are also extremely intelligent.

Your other options are:

Schnauzers, also quite masculine. Giant schnauzers are, well, giant. Standard are mid-sized. They are very, very muscular.

Portuguese water dogs. Big hunting dogs.

Soft coated wheaten terriers. They're terriers, so you have to like that temperament. These dogs crack me up.

Kerry Blue terriers. These dogs also crack me up. Extremely dominant dogs!

Bichon Frise. If you're looking for masculine, do not look here.

Coton de tulier. Ditto. So cute though!

West Highland terriers. Ditto x3.

Bedlignton terriers. Ditto x4. These are also quite funny.
