Came inside yesterday only to realize I couldn't find my iPhone. Went back out to car and when I opened the car door I saw my iPhone laying right on the door sill. I was afraid to look up close -- just knowing I'd find a shattered back or at least huge scratches. There was NO damage at all to the iPhone!! Luckily my Solstice has a fairly good clearance from bottom of the door to the door sill but it did scratch and cut the bumper in several places.
I'm sure with no bumper those cuts and scratches would have been on my iPhone--or it would have cracked the glass. I go without a case often in the house (mostly carpet) but I always put the bumper on when I go out. Just thought I'd share a "good news" story for a change.
