You know, if this were freeware, I'd almost instantly recommend it to my wife (who's a teacher, with macs in her classroom), but alas, at $50/pop, I'd rather just run some freebie net filters over Safari, or better yet, have all the net surfing done by kids be an adult-supervised event, like it is (and should be) at home.

Strong point. Even $10 a year would be better in my mind than $50.

I don't see a link to download it, so I guess so. On the other hand, Freeverse has the most generous trial periods this side of freeware for their games, and I would be a little surprised if they won't even let you try it out.

$50 is too steep. They ought to distinguish between a bulk education price and a less expensive home price. $25 or less would make more sense to me.
 
I agree that the price is a bit steep, but I suppose that there's someone willing to pay $50 for it...
