I’ve never had any issues with any iOS or OSX update until yesterday. Once I had Yosemite and iOS 8.0.2 installed on my rMBP and iPhone 6 continuity and handoff worked flawlessly. The only problem was that I wasn’t able to make calls from my Mac and it said that my Mac and iPhone had to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, which it was. Figured 8.1 would fix that.

Yesterday I did an OTA install of iOS 8.1. Right away I noticed weird things happening like my Mac kept getting popups saying there was an issue with iCloud and I had to go into settings to fix it. When I went I couldn’t see anything strange and everything tied to my iCloud account worked. I then noticed I couldn’t get SMS relay to work and whenever I tried turning on iPhone Cellular Calls in FaceTime it said it couldn’t turn on because I had to be logged into the same Apple ID, which I was. I mean, I’ve only ever had one Apple ID.

Basically now I can’t handoff to work, which worked perfectly before the iOS 8.1 update. I spent over two hours going over all the settings and doing multiple restarts on my Mac and iPhone, doing a network reset, logging in and out of iCloud multiple times, and then continuity seemed to work, but lagged by a long time. My iPhone would keep showing up as a hotspot too and then it wouldn’t. Just really random stuff.

Now I noticed that Passbook wasn’t updating my Starbucks card either like before and that the option to turn on iPhone Cellular Calls in FaceTime isn’t even there anymore.

iCloud Drive and iMessage on my mac all work perfectly like before. Not sure what to do. Tempted to restore my iPhone, but I have a ton of app data, texts, and iMessages I don’t want to lose. I also even changed my Apple ID password and tried logging in and out of everything as well and have gone over tons of posts on here and the Apple support forums to see if I missed anything.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
