burn 8.5GB ISO on 2x DVD-R?

I've the following problem...
I would like to burn a 8.5GB ISO image file to DVD-R...

I don't have any dual/double layers DVD-Rs at the moment.
I was wondering whether it's possible to burn it on 2 DVD-R? and if so, how does it work?
