Burn on Mac read on PC

I need to burn a photo disk on my MBP to be read on a PC as my junky HP laptops optical drive is not being seen by the system. Toast looks good, but not at $99. Anything free or cheap that will work?

I googled it, but there's just so much out there.

In Finder, File -> New burn folder usually works quite well.

Really? That easy? I spent a few hours trying to fix the HP so I wasn't thinking straight by midnight!

Make sure you right-click it after copying all the items you want to burn into it. There's the "Burn folder to the disc" menu entry hidden somewhere over there

Will that burn it so it can be read on a PC?

Since it's only a nicer front-end to the burning software built into the system (like the Disk Utility or Burn Folders are) - yes. It all just works.

Yes. I use it all the time when making CD/DVDs to take to work.
