i have a ibook g4 with no dvd burner and as u know the .dmg file is 6.3 gb and my ibook only has a cd reader so i have a ipod but its usb and that does not work on a ppc based mac. so i need to burn 10.5 .dmg to a cd and it needs to work on multiple cds.

Thanks!!!

What are the specs on your iBook, and why do you have a DMG of Leopard?

well if he knew what he was doing, he could have made the dmg (as i have done for backup purposes)....otherwise id say its a pirated copy

with that said, if he did that he would know how to solve the burning issue most likely

op...you need a dl dvd burner

Thanks

Yes it is a backup and i have .5 gb of ram and i alsohave a 1.2 ghz ppc g4

If you have another Mac, connect the iBook in target disk mode to it, then start the Leopard installation from the other computer. This is assuming the other Mac meets the minimum system req's as well. On the destination select screen you'll have the computer's internal drive, and the iBook's drive. Select the iBook's drive and start installation.
