Hello all,

I searched the forums and found several post related to this but not exactly the info I was looking for...

I have a question regarding burning data to DVD, DVD-DL, and BD-R.

I typically burn to media at no more than half the rated speed thinking that I might get a more accurate burn and more long term reliability of the data. After looking at these forums, it seems I may be correct in that thinking???

Along those lines, if I burn at the top rated speed of the media and Toast Titanium verifies the disk as OK, is it advisable to go ahead and burn at the top rated speed... or... for long term archiving, is it still a good idea to burn at a slower speed??

Lastly, i am about to take the plunge to BD-R (with an OWC external drive). From what I have found in the internet, it seems that the non-organic dies used in the BD-Rs make them more reliable for long term archiving than current DVDs. Any thoughts about that??

Thanks
