Hi all,

since days, I have been annoyed by a bug in the Finder I cannot quite explain, but would like to get rid off.

Simply put, I created burnable folders on external, FireWire drives for their content to be burnt on DVDs. Indeed, having them on an external FW800 disk leads to fewer errors when verifying, probably because it doesn't have to support the OS at the same time. While I found it weird that a high performance SATA II internal HDD couldn't keep up with DVD burning in such a way that it is verifiable, DVDs burnt with "offset" data have consistently gave very good results. One of OS X's mysteries.

However, it seems that some of these folders refuse to move from the sidebar in the finder. They have long been deleted from the external HDD, and clicking on them leads nowhere: the Finder doesn't budge. Of course, a "dual-finger click" was tried, but only one menu item appears: "Open sidebar preferences", and I don't understand why.

How do I get rid of them?
