burned a dvd+r dl disc on my imac and it wont read on my mac book pro

ive had this issue in the past where i would burn images to the dvd+r DL on my macbook pro, it would burn but never read on my MBP, i thought it was my MBP that was burning it wrong. now when i burn them on my imac, my mbp wont read them either

what gives??
