Hi there,

I bought a MBP from the previous gen( for several reasons) but it came with a burned/dead pixel. i can still return it in the next couple of weeks and they will give me my money back, but for me it is the last resort, because it was the last unit available on the store and i don't wish to buy the new one...

the pixel its only noticeable when im looking for it, and some times its really hard/impossible to find. But it just bothers me to buy something new(for over 1550€...) thats already damaged...

so my question is: Can i fix it? if so, how?

yes you can (at least try to fix it).

Exist a software (i don't remember the name or if it exist for OSX) that over stress a specific pixel (change the faulty pixel black then white several times per second).

Other solution is to poke the dead pixel.
