burning a dvd-r

MBP Late 2011

I burned a dvd-r successfuly last week. Windows 7 for a friend. iso in disk utility. x8

I used same discs for another person today and i got

on disc a) medium right error

on disc b) error during verify


the discs from all burns were the same batch of discs.
Also i burned at x4 and at x8


Whats going on with this?

Has this happened with multiple discs? I've never had a spindle that didn't have some bad ones in it, so I usually just pick randomly from the middle of the stack and have had similar burn errors as your describing.

i used to get write errors all the time.....the best advice ive ever received is to Nswitch to verbatim discs and always burning at the slowest option available.

Burned at lowest speed. cd-rs work but not dvd-rs for some reason.

I need to buy new discs I reckon. These wont work with my mac.
