I'm looking to bring my movie library with me without carrying around a bunch of DVDs. I'm sure there must be some applications that allow me to burn my DVDs directly onto my hard-drive. Which is the best for this? Preferably free! :D Thanks!

Handbrake http://handbrake.fr/ , I like RipIt better http://thelittleappfactory.com/ripit/ .

ALso use Mroogle next time, this has been discussed before ;)

I use these two together. Ripit for actually ripping the DVDs, then Handbrake to convert them to an easy to use format (I use m4v). If you just want them for your computer, Ripit will be fine. The only reason I encode them to m4v is for use on other computers and my PS3.

****A Piggy-Back question****
How do I make perfect copies of DVDs on a blank DVD? If anyone knows a step by step process for copying DVDs on a Mac it would be greatly appreciated.
