Burning a movie file to watch on a dvd player??

when i do it with toast it takes like 4 hours is there a faster way

so i get like jamesbond.avi and burn it to a dvd to watch on a dvd player as in on a tv not on a computer.

is there a fatser way to burn it??
 
I have burned several movies using Toast and it is smoking fast. I just can't get my DVD player to play them. I think it's time to mod the xbox.

Have you only tried .avi files?
