Burning a movie without idvd

I bought a MacBook 2 years ago, I have recently upgraded to leopard. I made a movie on imovie but I need to figure out how to burn this to a dvd without having to buy idvd or iLife. Is there a way I can export it to somewhere then burn it to a dvd. Please help I don't want to have to play it off of my computer!

You have the copy of iDVD that shipped with your Mac. Why do you need to burn the DVD without iDVD?

you are right. why u dont use Idvd which come together with the mac. is the simplest software to make dvd disk
