Burning a simple DVD (no menus) - do i use iDVD?

Hi, I have a .mov I want to burn to a dvd with no region code that will play in any player (im in the EU and want to send it to the US).

I can't work out a way to do this in iDVD without having to use one of their crappy "themes" which i really don't want to do.

Anyone know of any other solutions?

Have you tried moving the file to a folder then highlight the folder and go to the file tab at the top of the screen and hit burn to DVD. That should work.

Doesn't that do it as a data disc rather than dvd - as in playable in dvd players

I find an app called Burn to be the simplest solution for creating easy on the fly video DVDs. Just drop movie files into it's window and it will encode and burn your dvd.

Plus, you can't argue with the price...

Yes, it just burns region free DVDs.
