Hi

I am apple newbie and am trying to get my head around some things, was hoping someone could help me out.

I have a image thats in dmg format and am not sure how to burn it, is it as simple as clicking on the dmg file and when it opens just dragging the files in finder to the blank disc?

The other part to this is, that the dmg file is an os upgrade image. As such does it need to burnt in a particular way so it can boot? For example if it was another OS i would need to make sure I burnt it as bootable iso...I am not sure how this works in the mac world. I am trying to understand this so I can put the upgrade image on cd then to a firewire hdd as I believe that you can boot form firewire hdd with the os installed on it.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks
