I'm trying to burn some data using DVD+R DL using my 17in MBP w/New Toast Titanium.. Unfortunately, its giving me an error and can not burn it. Anyone experienced this issue? Any solution to this problem??

I have the following hardware: MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-846

Thanks in advance!

No, I don't think the drive matters as apple always lists that they support ONLY DVD+R DL. The easiest and most sure fire way to check is to go to System Profiler and look it in there. (Blue Apple thingy -> About This Mac -> More Info... -> Look under disc burning)

I think its more related to the DVD disc itself. Apple drives are quite finicky when it comes to the quality of discs that you put in to burn. I've burnt DL discs no problems but always made sure that I used high quality ones.

this is from the SystemProfiler: HL-DT-ST DVDRW GSA-S10N:

Firmware Revision: BP10
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw, DVD-DAO
Media: Insert media and refresh to show available burn speeds

I have used from the Cheapo dvd to Verbatium + & - and still can't burn a DL disc.

If people have troubles burning DL discs, give a shot at burning at the lowest speed (2x). Might work.
