well i'm sure there's a similar thread to mine somewhere in this mess of forums... but i wanted to be ... ahem... addressed--separately. heh.

ok so i want to be able to download my legal movies via torrent or what have you... then burn them onto dvd-r's like any other macblooded-being. So I started with a couple of legal torrents and used the divX to convert them... now I've run into two problems.... 1.) my sony dvd-r's keep getting spit out by the disc drive... and 2.) apparently idvd (which i was under the impression would burn movies to dvd) doesn't seem to have the option to burn any of my movies????
i'm wonderin' what i'm doing or not doing ... better yet what i need to be doing!
purtty please let me know...

oh yes, i'm on an ibook G4 osX10.4.9

If you own the movies, then why download them over a torrent?

To back-up movies you own, then use MacTheRipper along with DVD2OneX (or some other compression software) and then Toast or something similar to burn.
