BUrning DVD's

I have some movies on my Mac that i would like to burn to DVD.

Can this be done with any programs that come on the mac or will i have to purchse some other software?

Are you talking about home movies, downloaded AVIs, or video_TS files?

Also, what format are the movies in? DV? AVI?

Depending on the source and the format, you should be able to import them into iMovie and burn them in iDVD. Otherwise, you will need 3rd party software such as Toast.

Toast Titanium is a great program, really user friendly to. I've seen it advertised in Macworld magazine for around $60.

I use Toast also. But there is a free app called Burn. Ive downloaded it and had a look, just never used it.

Sorry after i posted i thought i would need to be more specific. I am talking about movies that i have ripped off of DVD from Handbrake. I think they are mp4
