I am sorry for the noob questions however I have been working at this for a long time and I cannot figure it out.

What I want: To rip dvds and then burn onto blank dvds and then watch on standard dvd players or Xbox 360. I also have movies in .avi format which need to be converted ovbiosly. I use iDVD to burn my movies so i have to convert to mp4 for it to work and I use prism.

I also want it to be the highest quality of video and audio as possible.

I have tried mac the ripper to rip the dvds and handbrake to rip the dvds and I have no idea what to make the settings so I get the highest quality.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and all in all, I just want to burn DVDs that are good quality and fit my TV screen.

Thanks
Robert
