Is there a way to burn songs in iTunes to a disk image in the format of an audio CD, rather than burning to an actual CD?
The reason for this is to save CDs while removing iTunes DRM protection (I know why it's there, I just don't like it, especially if I payed for it.)
I backup songs to DVD, and DRM files do not burn (copy protection). What good is that for backup? It will let me burn a certain amount of audio CDs, which I then copy back into iTunes so I can backup music error free, and even play it on non-apple devices like the Ps3.
They try to force me where to listen to it, and on what it can play on, next they'll tell me when I can listen to it.
Anyway, if there is a way to save Audio Cds using OS X Tiger and without purchasing expensive third party software, let me know. Otherwise I will use Audio CDs since I don't purchase from iTunes that often. It gets expensive after a while.
