Ok I have the following programs, Toast Titanium 9, Quicktime Pro, IDVD. I have a movie thats in .mov and I want to burn it to dvd so when I put it in any NTSC dvd player it plays. The encoding is taking 5 hours in Roxio Toast. BTW the movie is 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Please help.

It works man but I burn alot of dvd's and it takes so long, didnt know if there was a faster way.

Its taking this time because it needs to encode the the .mov file to a mpeg2 format. DVD disks all uses MPEG2.
Your burning doesnt take long, its the encoding process.

So lets say I want to make copies of my dvd, once it does it once does it need to be done over and over or should I just take the dvd that was made and use mac the ripper?

I believe Toast has the option of choosing how many copies of a disk are made. Set it up, and let it run through the night.

You can also save an image (from the File menu, I believe) which you can then use to produce more copies of the disk in the future.
