Burning movies/shows onto DVD with subs??

I have quite a few foreign movies/animes with subs that I'd like to put on my DVD+R's.After trying it with Death Note part 2 I was sad to find out that the subs didn't carry over.

Right now my main burning program is Toast, do I need something else to make the subs burn over too?:confused:
