What is the best , free or paid for, software to get for a macbook pro that will burn Blu-Ray discs also.

In order to play or burn Blu-Ray disks, you would need to purchase an external Blu-Ray drive. Aurora Software makes some Blu-Ray software for OS X if I recall correctly.
Yes regarding the BluRay i am about to purchase a drive , that's why I was asking about the software thanks.
Make sure that whatever drive you purchase explicitly states that it supports Macs. Unlike USB DVD drives, OS X has no included support software for Blu-Ray drives.
