Anyone have any recommendations for a nice little bus powered Firewire drive? RPM is not important as I have a few big honkin' Maxtor FW800 drives already. Just want something small for my nightly backups that I can throw into the safe at the end of the day. My one stipulation is that it does NOT have a Western Digital drive inside. Thanks for any suggestions. :)

I would suggest a nice 2.5" laptop hard drive. Get a good brand with the longest warranty. My Toshiba had a 3 year warranty. I saw some Hitachis ?? with a 5 year warranty.

Then buy yourself a MacAlly external case. They have many different flavors. USB2, FW, FW/USB2 combo, FW800, etc.

It should be cheaper than a prepackaged unit. Plus you get to pick the hard drive that you want. Plus, the warranty should be longer.
