Hi,

I am a bit more experienced with Android and I made a 4-app course for starting a business (business ideas, business plan, fundraising and marketing).

I recently started porting the apps to iPhone/iPad and I am curious about how I should price the apps. When my apps first get released, they tend to rank very low for their searches. And therefore nearly no one gets the apps if they cost money.

So my question is what are some common strategies for pricing the apps in the beginning? Should I make it free? Or insist on making it paid?

If curious, my Android apps are on http://www.problemio.com and the first iPad/iPhone app is there too. The apps are high quality and have helped thousands of people. But I am wondering what kind of monetization/marketing strategies are proven to work well so I can beat out the lesser quality apps which rank ahead of my apps as I release them in the app store?

Thank you,
Alex Genadinik
