I have an early 2008 Macbook Pro. This is one of the older models that has a separate panel in the back that you take off in order to access your battery and hard drive. The laptop has a dent on one of these corners from a fall. This was merely cosmetic until this weekend when I took off the cover to install a solid state drive. Now the cover won't click back in place (see photo).

Since I have a SSD drive in there I'm not concerned about dust but the back panel is pretty lose as is and I'd like to make it a bit more secure without spending a bunch of money on repairing the casing given the age of the computer.

Any ideas? I was thinking a laptop cover might do the trick but I looked online for one and it seems they are all hard cases that snap into place. With the dent and misalignment I'm guessing they won't fit. If anyone knows of a softer more flexible case or has other ideas I'd love to hear them.

Thanks so much.
