Any tricks, tips to get into an iPhone 4 that is running iOS 5.x? I don't have the password and I tried a few but don't want to be locked out forever! Yes, I know the official Apple reply is - No. But updates are made all the time (or, were) because iPhones could be hacked into.

I don't want to erase phone, I want to find the last photos and texts - the phone belongs to my nephew who since passed. It has the initial version of Siri - Voice Control but it seems limited. Any software, cracking tips, etc that I can use to bypass password? (Again, without restore/factory resetting). Hoping an old device/iOS can be cracked. It hasn't been connected to the internet/wi-fi/cell service in about 12+ years.

It's kind of crazy that 1) there's no way to authenticate using a recovery phone number or email, and 2) can't you just prove to Apple that you are the owner of the Apple ID/iCloud account that the phone is connected to?

Are you still trying to unlock the phone?

Are you sure it's an iPhone 4 beforehand? iPhone 4 have basically always been easily hackable. All the data could be copied over without the password easily if you have a good amount of technical skill. If it's an iPhone 4S it's possible but you need an Arduino device to do it and it isn't nearly as easy. iPhone 4 has one line on the side meanwhile the iPhone 4S has two lines

Thanks! I confirmed, this is an iPhone 4 - not 4S. It is model A1332.
