Our TV supports HDR but not Dolby Vision. It’s the same with our receiver.
All of these titles listed in the iTunes Store that only have a DV badge - will these play in HDR10 on our TV?
Do all DV titles feature “basic” HDR10 support or do you get nothing if your equipment doesn’t support it?
I’m seeing conflicting answers about this. I’m also struggling to see why a film company pushing their weight behind one HDR format, like DV, would bother also offering a HDR10 version on the iTunes Store?
Also, as our equipment doesn’t support DV, what’s the best image setting to keep the ATV on - 4K HDR 60 or 4K HDR 24 or 25?
Thanks to anyone that can offer clarification.

Me:
So all iTunes movies that have Dolby Vision support also have HDR10 support then?
Abi:
good question, .
Abi:
Not all but iTunes Store supports movies with both HDR10 and Dolby Vision. If you see the HDR icon, this iTunes Store movie can play in HDR10. The Dolby Vision icon is displayed when a movie is available in Dolby Vision.
So, there we go. If you don’t have DV setup and buy a 4K title listed with the DV icon you have no idea if you’ll actually get a HDR10 version displaying.
