So I used to think I wouldn't like it, but after using a Kindle Voyager with the buttons in the bezel, I think Appple should do something similar on the ipad. I think I'd love it. It would be great for surfing the web, going back anywhere, games could use them.

If they get any thinner that's the only place for them..

I'd like front facing speakers, thinner bezels and better software. That's all.

Yeah, I meant extra buttons, like forward and back buttons. Or different apps could use them for whatever they want.
 
You mean a dedicated location for UI buttons? Like soft keys on android?

Not really. I get so used yo holding my kindle by the bezel and just a light squeeze I can turn the page. I find myself wishing I could do that on my ipad instead of tapping the back arrow.

That would be nice. Apple patented touch-enabled bezels or something like that a while ago so maybe they can do something like that in the future.
