As far as I can tell, we can only buy the 8GB RAM versions at retailers like Amazon. On the Apple site I can buy the 16GB version. I am wondering; based on past experience or maybe insider knowledge; is it smart to wait for Black Friday? I won’t care about a small difference but anything over 99 €/$ is significant enough to wait. Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: just ordered it :)

People haven't even received their Mini orders yet and you wonder if there will be a $99 discount in less than 10 days? I'd say there is zero chance for that. But I suppose stranger things have happened.

I suppose you are right. I know that a couple of years ago when I bought my 15” MacBook Pro, there was a €200 gift card if I remember correctly. But yeah, if the probability of such a discount is close to zero, I will just go ahead and buy it now.

Apple gives you until January 8th to return it. In US at least. Free AppleCare woul be nice. Trading in an Apple product is also easy and can help. Traded in 5 year old laptop for $240 helped get the i5/16/512 I wanted.

I’m in Europe, but I guess I can ask them.

I could see a promotional price if you purchase with apple card. Like double the 3% cash back to 6% like they did last year.
