Hi guys,
I'm traveling to London next 23. I will be arriving on christmas (because I'm from Buenos Aires and the flight connects in New York).
Thanks to that connection I have a free day in the Big Apple (which will be the 24).
As title says, I'd like to buy a 4S.
What should I do? Just go to the Apple Store and try luck? Being the day before Christmas I think It won't be easy, I read something about making a reservation a day before.
 
I say you call that store now and explain... If you call now, they should have the phone ready for that day. If you don't do this, you won't get it
 
Try and reserve one beforehand, but it seems like the 4S craze has died down, so you might get one without reserving. Remember, stores close early on the 24th, so get in that NYC Taxi, maybe you'll be lucky and be in the Cash Cab, so study up on current, past event and landmarks and scientific equations and geography.
 
With it being the day before Christmas it might be tough to find one. When you get to NY just call around and see if they have any available.
 
Every night after 9pm, Apple allows you to go online, reserve an Iphone and it will be available for you to pick it up the next day. 1 reservation per day per Apple ID. I have ordered 2 times already and the process is very easy. However, it is going very fast, so you need to be quick.

If I was you, the day before arrival in NY, just go online, reserve 1 and it will be available for you to pick up the next day. They don't allow people to order via telephone or hold for you. It is first come first serve unless you reserve it online.

There's a problem. My flight departs at 9pm (Buenos Aires time GMT -3) and 6pm NYC time..
 
You have the day to burn so why not just go anyway if the stores not far out of your way.

Enjoy the experience.
