I’m considering getting an M4 MacBook Air (Base Spec - 13"/16GB/256) for my girlfriend for Christmas.

Do you think it’s worth picking one up now on the Apple refurb store + 1.7% cashback via TopCashBack or wait and see what happens with any Black Friday deals from other retailers?

Just with the M4 MacBook Air is currently $749.99 on Amazon US, are we likely to see deals as good as that here in the UK?

It's only bound to get cheaper, especially since you're interested in the base model.

Hope that will be case, base model is currently on at £849.00 on the refurb store. If a Black Friday deal bringing it down to sub £800 (ideally £750) then I'll bite the bullet and buy.

Good luck on that hunt!

I continue to be blown away by the price differences in different countries of same products, and Apple continues to be a prime example. I know as a Canadian once living in the UK, the prices were eye-opening - and I know folks in other countries are often taken aback at what we end having to pay.

Now, I know prices in the UK include taxes (VAT) - unlike here in Canada - but a quick dip into Canada's refurb store (https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/refurbished/mac/macbook-air) shows a 13" starting at $CDN1189, which is £644. Add our own taxes and that makes it $CDN1343 (£727) - still much lower than the UK refurb.

It's crazy.

The joys of rip off Britain!:(

I don't think Apple get involved in Black Friday sales etc, so may be better to look at other resellers of Apple products, like Amazon, Curry's etc

Yeah, I'm hoping from some deals from the likes of them. I'm just slightly annoyed that the deals you see over on Amazon US aren't replicated on Amazon UK.
